Vestibular Testing

OBJECTIVELY IDENTIFY AND ASSESS VESTIBULAR BALANCE DISORDERS.

 

The overall objective of your VNG testing is to stimulate and visually record eye movements under various circumstances including:

  • Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BBPV)

  • Vertigo

  • Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

  • Central Nervous System Injuries (CNS) / Central Lesions

  • Other peripheral vestibular dysfunctions

  • Peripheral vestibular function

     VNG TESTING PROCEDURES

  • Takes any staff member less than 20 minutes to perform

  • Laptop and Hardware-Based Diagnostic System

  • Goggles placed on Patients' head will dynamically assess eye movement during a series of activities.

  • Monocular and Binocular Systems available, as well as calorics (air/water)

  • Reimbursement using long-established CPT coding

  • Software provides interpreted report, however, Report Over-Read services are available if needed.

  • Active head rotation/AHR

  • Device autodetection

  • Oculography module

  • 200 Hz tracking speed (only available with  NysStar)

  • Video goggles with two USB 2.0 digital cameras; resolution: 640 X 480 pixels

  • Open field goggle assembly

  • Removable eye cover for vision denied recording

  • External adjustments for focus and X-Y centering

  • Wireless remote control (foot switch available)
